Wow, oh wow. What a place! We were tipped off about this from an article in the Guardian newspaper about Turkey’s hidden gems and this one really sparkles. First of all is the setting. The valley is deep, narrow, lush and green. As it is in the Olympos National park there are no big hotel developments, just small hotels and paysions such as this.
Hotel Canada was a real find.
We stayed in the main hotel but there are lots of small cabins to rent if you are in a group. Our room was basic but so clean. It was great to have a refrigerator but tea making facilities would have been a nice addition.
Our outdoor balcony was a great place to sit an watch the sun ip behind the mountains after a day of relaxing either by there huge and immaculate pool or on the beach just a 10 minute stroll down the lane. They do run a shuttle bus or you can use one of the onsite bicycles if you prefer.
The staff here are the nicest, friendliest and most charming I have ever met on my extensive travels around the globe. There have a full bar at the pool and staff are around constantly to attend to what ever you need or want. Breakfast is the usual Turkish affair but they manage to vary it from day to day so it is saved from the monotony often encountered at many Turkish establishments.
We ate out most nights and you are spoiled for choice in the adjacent town and beach front, the best meal we had was at the hotel. Definitely have a meal or two with them. The grounds are extensive and very well laid out and maintained. You can snooze in the shade while swaying gently in your hammock or lounge by the pool. The beach is a few minutes walk and is a huge sweep of beautiful sand and shingle, all protected as one of Turkey’s main turtle breeding beaches.
We are coming back here and I suspect it won’t just be once. Honestly, it is as good as it gets if you like off the beaten track places to stay in stunning settings with great accommodation, great food and outstanding staff.

Stayed here again 22nd September-3rd Oct,never long enough. This time we chose a bungalow for the 2 of us,enjoyed the extra space.
All the staff at the Canada are wonderful, this was our 4th stay here, couldn’t imagine staying elsewhere,it has everything we need, relaxing pool, well stocked bar, rooms kept fresh& clean& the most delicious food made fresh daily.35lira pp for dinner,is great value, soup, meze your choice of main& pudding.
We done the Goynuk Canyon trip,15euro pp for the transport organised by Carrie&Saban, and to do the trip, hire the water shoes, bouyancy aid,wet suit& helmet was 41 Lira pp.It was amazing, chilly water at the start, but once inside it was breathtaking, definetley a must on our next visit. We also took a boat trip,60lira pp,for a full day’s trip, delicious lunch, afternoon tea& melon.
The weather is wonderful at this time of year, most day’s the temp was 28/30 degree’s,sea was warm,we had 5 minutes of very light rain, enough to clear the air.
Turkey& Cirali was sadly very quiet this year, tourism has taken a huge dip due to all the bad publicity, but we never felt scared or reluctant to come& will continue to visit.
The Canada Hotel is a gem of a place, best therapy for relaxing, wonderful people, beautiful area.

It was our 4-th visit to Canada hotel! We stay in 2 bungalows – 3 mothers, 5 children (1 boy and 4 girls age from11 till14) and 1 grandmother! Everything – as usually – was perfect – the delicios food in restaurant, kindness & hospitality from hotel team, service, сleanliness in the rooms! When you come here at first you became as part of big family! And each times when we come to Canada hotel we feel, that we are at home, at lovely home!Thank you so much, Carrie and Shaban, for your hard work for our unforgettable vacation!
The beach and the sea – stunning! The number of people on the beach is very small! Beach comfortable and free. Restaurants on the beach hit a wide choice of menu to suit every taste, average prices and very tasty food.

Another lovely stay at the Canada Hotel, run professionally and passionately by Carrie, Saban and their staff, nothing is too much trouble but everything is beatifully relaxed and low-key. Carrie arranged some great trips for us, and we spent the rest of our time reading in hammocks, enjoying the pool which has beautiful mountain views (early swims before breakfast when it’s cool and not busy), and trips to the beach. Great food, both the dinners (love the meze) and lunch if you wish. The bungalows have everything we need, and allow you to enjoy the lovely garden too.

We had yet another visit to one of our favourite hotels this spring. As always, we got a warm welcome – I love the way someone always comes out to greet you as you pull in to the carpark. The food was yummy, the wooden lodge in the garden was extremely comfortable and I can’t wait to go back again.

Believe me, there is no better hotel in Turkey (I lived 6 years in Turkey and visited many places). Nice and very polite owners, amazing food (especially I love fishes there), clean hotel in fantastic nature just few minutes from one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey, Olympos. I hope we will come back soon again.
Many greetings to Canada!:)

This is pretty much one of favourite places in the world to visit and stay – the location is great as you are out of the way yet within easy short walking access to the village, beach and Olympos ruins. The hotel itself is just lovely, clean with everything you need to hand and Carrie, Saban and the staff could not be more helpful to make sure you feel well looked after with every detail attended to. The food is absolutely amazing with a good choice of home cooked Turkish style food, the hotel gardens are lovely and peaceful and I have been at both busy and quiet times and yet the design of the garden means that even during busy times you never feel you are in a busy place as it is so quiet and relaxing – the non chemical swimming pool surrounded my wonderful mountain views is also a bonus. Our little four year old loves this place and its great knowing that children are so safe and can run around and have fun perhaps feed the tortoise if he pops into the garden or simply enjoy spending time in the pool or relaxing in the hammocks – cannot say enough good stuff about this place and Cirali in general you just have to come and visit to see it for yourselves.

We had a great time at Canada Hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. It’s very family friendly so perfect for children and adults alike. We were there during the attempted coup but the village was completely unaffected, and had no impact on our holiday which was fantastic!

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Canada Hotel. Close to the beautiful beach (with bikes you can borrow to get there), comfortable rooms, pretty grounds, friendly and helpful staff, and really good dinners provided by the pool. Staying here is a great choice for a Mediterranean coast experience.

Carrie and her staff made me feel like I was back at home in Canada. Amazing hospitality, beautiful, green, and lush surroundings, and the food did not disappoint as you could tell the chef took pride in making each meal with great passion. I am looking forward to staying there again.

I only wish I’d known about Canada Hotel earlier so that I could have spent more time. Aside from the lovely gardens, pool, rooms and superb meals and beach and ruins proximity, Carrie’s activity notebook suggests multiple naturalist led hikes, bicycle trips and other activities to enhance one’s exploration.
Next time I want to stay a week!

We had been to visit Olympos and Phaselis twice but we were not aware of the pleasant Canada hotel! During the two days we stayed there we enjoyed the excellent food, the marvellous big pool and eating the large canopy of trees. Particularly nice was the friendly style of Carrie, spending the time for a chat about her long experiences in Turkey. Let me add this for German tourists: “sehr zu empfehlen, sympathisch und angenehm. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!.

Our two night stay at Canada Hotel was both an intimate and pleasant experience. Our hostess Carrie’s all-embracing presence assured that every need, informative and culinary, was met. The information was thorough and helpful to guide our time at the hotel, while the hotel’s food was a tasteful experience. And one of the staff,a German who calls himself “Ahmet”, was also entertaining and helpful, including preparing his version of a “peach mojito” that I requested. We wish we could clone Carrie for future lodging venues.

We chose Canada Hotel for our first visit to Cirali based on all the great reviews it gets at Tripadvisor. Having stayed there for 2 nights in August, we can now say with confidence that the hotel rightly deserves all the praise! A few highlights for us were: the prompt and informative email exchange with Carrie prior to our visit, letting us check in so early, the amazing staff with their warm and friendly service, great food every night (I highly recommend going with the half board dinner option), helping out with our onward bookings, and Carrie’s genuine passion for Cirali which is so refreshing to see! Our only regret is we couldn’t manage a longer visit. We wish the Canada Hotel all the best:-)

This was our 3rd visit to the Canada Hotel, we are already planning the 4th – a lovely place to totally unwind, with very friendly service from Carrie and everyone at the hotel. Cirali is a bit off the beaten track and is far removed from what many other large resorts in Turkey have to offer. Great food, love the hammocks, the sofas, shady areas, good-sized pool and the gardens. Only a 5 min cycle ride from the beach and lots of other cafes and restaurants, with some lovely daytrips and local sightseeing on the doorstep too.

Our most successful, and relaxed, family holiday to date. The staff were attentive (but not overly), the accommodation (cabin) was clean and comfortable, the food was superb, the children loved the pool, the beach service rocks, the airport transfer was painless, and Carrie is delightful.

Cirali is an absolute gem of a place.

I can highly recommend a stay at the Canada Hotel, and we will return…

We will definitely return to your hotel. The location is stunning and there is plenty to do. Service from all staff was excellent from the moment Ahmed met us at Antalya. The evening meals were delicious and a very reasonable price. The accommodation was good in a beautiful garden and the pool was a good size.

We could find no fault at all. A very relaxing place to stay.

We went for 9 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Carrie and Saban are always keen to help make your stay perfect and the trips we went on were ideal with Ahmet as driver and guide who is a source of knowledge on all aspects of the local area and Turkey as a whole.

We’d been to Canada Hotel 7 years ago when our children were teenagers and had such a good time that we went back as a couple. The food as a whole is nice with evening meals which are consistently well cooked and an excellent price at 10 euros. The salt water swimming pool is delightful as are the hammocks to relax in.

Whether you go as a family or a couple you can be sure of having a lovely time here in an unspoiled village where you will be made to feel welcome.

Happened by chance to stay here and we are still raving about it. From the moment we were picked up at the bus station, the service of the hotel was impeccable. Felt five star at a very reasonable price for a couple of backpackers. The area and hotel was beautiful. The staff was on top of everything. The breakfast and meals were un believable. We are sold on returning again.

Canada hotel is a relaxed environment offering superb one to one service and excellent assistance to all customers. They go the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay and will sort transport locally or the airport pick ups (which I recommend – we even stopped outside Antalya for authentic Turkish Tea).
Travelling can be fraught with problems and unmet expectations but here you will find a surprising refuge. Great place – make sure you visit. The locality is also very special.

Fellow Visitors to Cirali, I almost hate to write about this wonderful place because I don’t want too many people coming and changing the special place that Hotel Canada and Cirali is at this time. Firstly, Hotel Canada is more than just a place to stay. The staff takes an interest in all the guests, both couples and families, and provides individual attention to your needs and interests by preparing your food, explaining the area, and making sure your cocktail is just perfect. Secondly, the day boat tour was a highlight, as was Olympus and the mountain fires. The free bikes make the entire area accessible and the 8 mile (I think) loop provides a beautiful view of pomegranate and other fruit orchards, local homes, and little pensions. There is no doubt we will be back to Cirali and to the rest of Turkey to explore more of this spectacular country and its amazingly friendly people.
Teşekkürler !

This was a great place to stay while visiting Olympos and Yanartas – we didn’t meet Carrie but Saban was extremely helpful in giving tips on where to go when, and having the free bikes to get to Yanartas was fantastic! He was also kind enough to let us use the outdoor showers on the day we checked out, after a full day at the beach. The rooms were very clean, and there are a ton of hammocks outside which was great for mid-afternoon naps. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Hotel Canada. The room was clean and comfortable. The host was very helpful about what to see in the area and we loved hopping on their mountain bikes to get into town and to bike the the Chimaera. They served us a delicious 4 course fish dinner for a very reasonable price and even drove us up to the main road on our last day. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the inviting pool and bar area and those hammocks!

Stayed September 2014, travelled as a couple

This was our second visit and, although Carrie had returned to Antalya for the winter, we didn’t need to be concerned about going late in the season. Saban ensured that we were served well. As stated elsewhere the highlights are the location in Cirali (with its unsurpassable combination of light, foliage and mountains) and the food. We appreciated the small changes at each breakfast, the choice of main at dinner and the varying meze. All freshly pepared from fresh ingredients.

Room Tip: Couples are accommodated in the main hotel, families in the chalets, which suits everybody.
